Overview
The Maasai Mara National Reserve, often referred to as the Masai Mara, is a large game reserve in Narok, Kenya, contiguous with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Named in honor of the Maasai people, the ancestral inhabitants of the area, it is renowned for its exceptional populations of lions, leopards, cheetahs, and African elephants. The reserve also hosts the annual Great Migration, considered one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa, where over a million wildebeest and other animals traverse its plains in a breathtaking spectacle.
