Overview

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel or area of residence at 9 a.m. and drive to Kiambethu Tea Farm in Limuru.

This tour takes you to the home of AB McDonell, a white settler who was a pioneer in the tea industry. Spend your day within the lush green gardens surrounded by acres of tea and indigenous forest, home to the Colobus monkeys. Take a walk into the forest as you identify different species of trees, birds, flowers and later a 3-course buffet lunch.

The driver will later drive you to the National Museum.

Nairobi National Museum: has delicately recorded the cultural diversity of Kenya; houses a wide range of cultural and natural-history exhibits. The most popular is the Cradle of Humankind exhibition (an important collection of early human fossils). Other exhibitions include Birds of East Africa, Hall of Mammals, Historia Ya Kenya which has documented Kenya and East Africa colonial era, tribes and ethnic groups. Adjoining is the snake park that houses various species of reptiles such as lizards, snakes, cocodiles, tortoise in the bushes, rocks and tiny pools. The dangerous snakes (cobras, puff ader, green mambas etc) are in display cases.
